IMPORTANT NOTICE:

It is with deep regret that the Pullman Chamber of Commerce has decided to cancel this year’s 3 Forks River & Arts Festival, originally scheduled for May 17 in the Riverwalk Parking Lot, due to unforeseen logistical challenges.

The decision to cancel the festival comes after the Chamber received official confirmation on Friday, March 28, from Pullman Parks & Recreation that the pedestrian bridge adjacent to Pine Street Plaza, which was dislodged from its footings after extensive flooding in February, will not be fixed by the festival’s scheduled date of Saturday, May 17. The bridge played an integral part in the festival’s layout, linking the festival grounds to Pine Street Plaza and downtown Pullman.

“One of the original goals we had when we created the festival was to highlight the access to Pullman’s Riverwalk from our downtown via the Pine Street Pedestrian Bridge,” says Pullman Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Marie Dymkoski. “That access is now difficult to emphasize without the bridge, and we don’t want the festival to remain isolated from the rest of our downtown,” Dymkoski added.

The Chamber was also unable to obtain a Right-of-Way Use permit to utilize Pine Street Plaza from the city of Pullman, as the plaza was not approved for use permits when the Chamber was planning the festival.

The Pullman Chamber intends to bring the festival back in 2026 with the reinstallation of the pedestrian footbridge and clarification of the Right-of-Way Use permitting process.

Vendors who registered for 3 Forks will be contacted directly by the Pullman Chamber and refunded in full for their vendor registration fees.
